I grew up in Queens, NY, raised by parents from the Dominican Republic. Mental health wasn't a topic discussed in my home until, at 16, I came out as gay. That moment marked a turning point, and therapy became a vital safe space for both me and my mother. It also sparked my passion for pursuing a career in psychiatry.
I’m a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with licenses in both New York and Florida. I earned my bachelor's degrees in nursing and psychology from New York University, followed by a master's in psychiatric-mental health nursing.
Before becoming a PMHNP, I worked as a psychiatric registered nurse at an inpatient psychiatric facility for college students in New York City.
I founded ZenzyTalk to bridge gaps in mental health care and bring a sense of relatability to the patient-clinician relationship. My approach combines medication management with adjunctive psychotherapy, focusing on adults with conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more. I take an integrative and holistic approach to care.
Currently, I live in Orlando, FL, where I can often be found at a local coffee shop on my days off. I’m an avid traveler, constantly adding new destinations to my list.

As a provider, I believe in a warm, empathetic, and holistic approach when it comes to mental health. My goal is to collaborate together to help improve your quality of life, whether it be through lifestyle changes, therapy, or medication management.
I am originally from South Florida and am of Colombian descent. I enjoy baking, powerlifting, and am a cat mom.
As a queer Latina and the first college graduate in my family, I know how difficult it can be to overcome culturally-related barriers and stigma, especially surrounding mental health.
Taking charge of your mental health is a powerful step forward, and I strive to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space for my clients to work together to help improve their overall mental wellness.

Hey there! I’m Daniel B. Originally from Connecticut, I grew up in the Dominican Republic and now call Central Florida home. I’m currently a psychiatric nurse at ZenzyTalk, building on my experience as a critical care RN in both Florida and New York. Working through the global COVID-19 pandemic taught me the value of listening deeply and taking time to manage my own emotions.
I’ve had the opportunity to work in various areas of mental health, including family, individual, trauma, and child therapy. These experiences have given me a well-rounded perspective on how to support patients in their mental health journeys. I’m passionate about the belief that prioritizing mental health is key to living a fulfilling life.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me diving into a thrilling novel or spending time outdoors with my fur babies. If you have any good recommendations let me know.
